Muhammad Syakir Bin Zakaria is a dedicated Early Childhood Education lecturer at Goon International College. He holds a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education from University Poly-Tech Malaysia and a Diploma in Early Childhood Education from Kolej Poly-Tech MARA Kota Bharu, both supported by academic achievement recognition through Dean’s List awards. He is passionate about creating meaningful, interactive, and student-centred learning experiences that support both academic and professional development of future educators.

In his current role, he teaches Early Childhood Education diploma students by planning engaging lessons, managing classroom environments, and assessing student progress. He is committed to fostering active learning environments that strengthen students’ theoretical understanding and practical skills in early childhood education. His teaching approach emphasizes creativity, interaction, and reflective learning to prepare students for real-world educational settings.

Prior to his current position, he gained diverse experience in early childhood settings, including roles as an Early Interventionist Program Teacher, Kindergarten Teacher at Brainy Brunch Sri Hartamas, and Nursery Teacher. In these roles, he developed individualized intervention plans, implemented play-based learning activities, and supported children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and motor development. His experience working closely with children, parents, and educators has strengthened his ability to deliver holistic, child-centered education.
