Lecturer

Noor Ilie Zuhaili Binti Yahaya is a Lecturer at Goon International College and an experienced researcher in International Relations and Diplomacy. She is currently a PhD candidate at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (IKMAS), focusing on China’s Belt and Road Initiative and its impact on Malaysia, with broader interests in regional cooperation, global governance, and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

She holds a Master’s Degree in International Relations and Diplomacy from Universiti Teknologi MARA, where she achieved a strong academic performance and specialized in international law, diplomacy, international political economy, and conflict resolution. She also earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Administrative Science from the same institution, building a solid foundation in public management and organizational studies.

Her professional experience spans academia, research, and administration. She has served as a Graduate Research Assistant under the Fundamental Research Grant Scheme (FRGS) at UKM, contributing to research on the South China Sea and SDG17 partnerships. She has also worked as a Research Assistant in multiple projects involving sustainable development, economic restructuring, and social policy studies, where she conducted literature reviews, qualitative interviews, data analysis, and academic writing.

In teaching and academic support roles, she has worked as a Teaching Assistant in international collaborative programs and is currently involved in lecturing and academic administration at Goon International College. Her earlier career includes HR and administrative roles in both private and government-linked organizations, strengthening her expertise in organizational management and operational coordination.

She is also actively involved in academic leadership programs, international conferences, and cross-border educational collaborations. Her research interests include international relations theory, ASEAN studies, China–Malaysia relations, SDG implementation, and global inequality
